Create and sort playlists
Add items with a click, sort them by drag & drop, set validity dates and check the result in the preview.
A playlist defines which media play in which order. When it plays is defined by the schedule. You can use the same playlist in several slots and schedules, so that one change reaches everywhere.
Create and fill a playlist
- 1Open “Playlists” and choose “New playlist”.
- 2Enter a name, for example “Lunch break” or “Happy hour”, and click “Create playlist”. The editor opens.
- 3On the right, under “Available creatives”, click a medium to add it. Each medium can appear once per playlist. If something is missing, upload it to the media library first.
- 4On the left, under “Playlist items”, drag items by the handle into the order you want.
- 5If needed, set “Valid from” and “Valid until” dates per item. The X next to the date fields resets the item to “Always”.
- 6Check the sequence with “Preview” and click “Save”.
Good to know
- A playlist holds up to 500 items.
- The display time belongs to the medium, not the playlist. You set it in the media library and it applies in all playlists.
- Items outside their validity dates are marked “Expired” or “Scheduled” and are not played. Expired items stay in the list until you remove them.
- Portrait or landscape content only plays on displays with the matching orientation. So only mix formats if both types of display use the playlist.
- A playlist only plays once it is in a schedule slot or assigned to a display as its fallback playlist.
- “Delete playlist” at the bottom of the page removes the playlist. The media stay in the library.
Several zones on the screen
You set the layout per display, not in the playlist. “L-Banner” splits the area into content, a ticker and a banner on the right. You fill the banner through a slot of the “L-Banner” type with its own playlist, ideally with 9:16 creatives.
The editor does not save automatically: click “Save” after every change. Free-form split screens and playlist templates are not available at the moment; the L-Banner layout is the intended way to divide the screen.
