Add and pair a display
Enter the 6-digit pairing code from the screen in the dashboard, then set the display’s name and location.
Pairing connects a display to your account. You need the 6-digit code that the player app shows on the screen, and the display’s location. If your player is not running yet, read “Set up the player (plug & play)” first.
How to pair a display
- 1Start the player. As long as the display is not paired, the screen shows the 6-digit code and a QR code.
- 2In the dashboard, open “Displays” and choose “Add new display”.
- 3Type the code under “Enter pairing code” and click “Connect display”. Alternatively, scan the QR code with your phone: the page then opens with the code already filled in.
- 4Under “Display details”, give the display a name, for example “Shop window left”.
- 5Enter the location in “Address or postcode” and click “Search”. If the search finds nothing, click directly on the map. You can drag the marker afterwards.
- 6Click “Save & finish”. The message “Display connected!” confirms the pairing, and “Go to display” opens the detail page.
If it does not work
- “Device not found. Check pairing code.”: the code does not match any device. Compare it with the screen again.
- “Device is already linked to another account”: the device is already assigned to an account and has to be removed there first.
- Second display: if your free display is in use, the dashboard may ask for a payment method before pairing. Each additional display costs €3.90 per month plus VAT, pro-rated from today and cancellable monthly. Your code is remembered and pairing then continues automatically.
- In a team, only the owner can add new displays, because they are billed to the owner.
What comes next
A paired display only plays content once it has a schedule or a fallback playlist assigned. “Play your first content” shows you how to get there.
The position is mandatory, even though the field is labelled “Position on the map (optional)”: without a location and a name, “Save & finish” stays inactive. Check both carefully, because the display’s detail page currently has no input field for them. To change them later, write to info@oohlemon.com.
